Sadibou Sané, a defender for FC Metz, has received a three-match suspension in Ligue 1 after being shown a straight red card during the match against Paris FC on August 31, 2025. This disciplinary action means he will be unavailable for the team's upcoming fixtures against Angers, Le Havre, and Monaco.
The incident occurred in the 80th minute of Matchday 4 at the Saint-Symphorien stadium, where Sané, who was already on a yellow card from the first half, made a challenge on Moses Simon that was deemed overly aggressive. The LFP disciplinary committee reviewed the case and upheld a firm three-match ban for the Senegalese player.
FC Metz has confirmed that Sané will return to play in the home match against Olympique de Marseille on Matchday 7 of Ligue 1, which is scheduled for October 5, 2025.
