The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and Gazmine "GG" Mason have announced the fifth class of recipients for the PBA Jr. and Gazmine Mason Foundation Scholarship, aimed at increasing representation in the sport of bowling.
Mason emphasized the foundation's goal of providing opportunities to aspiring bowlers, expressing gratitude for the ongoing partnership with the PBA and highlighting the impact of the scholarships on recipients' bowling journeys.
Twenty BIPOC youth bowlers were selected based on academic achievement, creativity, and commitment to bowling. Each will receive free entry into a PBA Jr. National Championship Regional Qualifier event of their choice.
The regional qualifier events are scheduled across various locations and dates in 2025, including the Southwest Region in Garland, Texas (Aug. 15-17), South Region in Myrtle Beach, S.C. (Sept. 5-7), Midwest/Central Region in Lincoln, Neb. (Sept. 26-28), South Region in Marietta, Ga. (Oct. 3-5), Midwest/Central Region in Allen Park, Mich. (Oct. 17-19), West Region in Clovis, Calif. (Nov. 7-9), and East Region in East Providence, R.I. (Dec. 3-7). Winners of each qualifier will advance to the PBA Jr. National Championship Finals in 2026.
Past winners of the scholarship include Anna Antony and Griffin Jordan (2025), Kayla Starr and Ernesto Reynoso (2024), Kaitlyn Stull and Jacob Robertson (2023), Jillian Martin and Landin Jordan (2022), and Jillian Martin and Spencer Robarge (2021).
