The event drew a large crowd of enthusiastic Celtics fans, including many children, who eagerly awaited Tatum's arrival. While waiting, fans engaged in activities like dance battles and karaoke, and they grew increasingly excited as cars passed by, hoping one would bring Tatum. He eventually arrived in the evening, accompanied by his mother, Brandy Cole, and wearing a red St. Louis baseball cap.

During a panel discussion moderated by reporter Greydy Diaz, Tatum reflected on the release of his fourth shoe, expressing pride in his journey from St. Louis to Boston over nine years. He emphasized his love for Boston, praising the fans' unconditional support and his personal growth in the city. The sneakers feature colorways representing both St. Louis and Boston, with designs that include the names of his sons, Deuce and Dylan, and a silver '0' pendant for his jersey number.

Tatum explained that the design process for the Tatum 4s began 18 months ago, resulting in the lightest shoes in the Jordan line. The red colorway, released on October 11th, honors his hometown of St. Louis, while the 'Green Glow' colorway, set for release on October 23rd, draws inspiration from Boston and the Celtics. He highlighted that both cities are integral to his story, making the sneakers a meaningful representation of his life and career.
