Leeds working to complete loan deal for Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte

Leeds United are advancing negotiations to secure a season-long loan deal for Argentinian forward Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton & Hove Albion. The club, managed by Daniel Farke, has been monitoring the player throughout the summer, with discussions intensifying recently.

Buonanotte, a left-footed attacker, primarily operated on the right wing and through the center during his previous loan spell at Leicester City. In the last Premier League season, he made 31 appearances (14 starts), scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists.

Brighton had expressed willingness to loan out the 20-year-old again this season, preferably to another Premier League club. This potential move would mark Leeds' 11th signing of the summer transfer window.

Since acquiring Noah Okafor on August 21, manager Daniel Farke has openly sought to strengthen his attacking options further. Buonanotte would compete with Daniel James, Okafor, Wilfried Gnonto, Jack Harrison, and Brenden Aaronson for starting positions on the wings.
