Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns running back Bill Davis has been selected to serve on the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Oversight Committee, with his term beginning on October 7, 2025, and continuing through August 31, 2026.
The Division I FBS Oversight Committee is responsible for overseeing the administration and governance of FBS football, working with conferences and institutions to ensure consistent application of rules, policies, and championship structures. Its key focus areas include improving the student-athlete experience, monitoring health and safety issues, and addressing matters specific to FBS football.
Davis is one of two student-athlete representatives on the 19-member committee, joining Louisiana Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard and Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Keith Gill.
Hailing from LaPlace, Louisiana, and a product of Riverside Academy, Davis has been a significant contributor to the Ragin' Cajuns' offense and actively involved in campus and community activities. He was named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District team and included in the 2025 Doak Walker Preseason Watch List.
In the current season, Davis ranks second on his team and 11th among Sun Belt Conference rushers, accumulating 314 yards and three touchdowns.
