Ravens Reveal Purple Throwback End Zones for 2025 NFL Season in New Photo

The Baltimore Ravens are commemorating their 30th season in the city by featuring a retro end zone design at M&T Bank Stadium, matching the style used during their inaugural 1996 season. The design was revealed ahead of their Sunday game against the Cleveland Browns.

This game serves as a significant moment to honor the team's history, as it is both the home opener and marks the return of former Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, who is now playing for the Browns. Flacco spent the first 11 years of his career with the Ravens and holds franchise records for passing yards, touchdowns, completions, and attempts.

Flacco's most notable achievement was leading the Ravens to victory in Super Bowl 47 during the 2012 postseason, where he threw for 1,140 yards, 11 touchdowns, and zero interceptions across four games, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. After being replaced by Lamar Jackson in 2018, Flacco was traded to the Denver Broncos and has since played for four teams, now in his second stint with the Browns.

Since their first season in 1996, the Ravens hold the sixth-highest winning percentage in the NFL. The team is seeking its first win of the season after a narrow 41-40 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.
