A 62-year-old Florida death row inmate, Glen Rogers, expressed support for former President Donald Trump in his final statement moments before being executed by lethal injection on Thursday. Rogers, convicted for the 1995 murder of Tina Marie Cribbs, a mother of two whom he met at a bar, declared, “President Trump, keep making America great. I’m ready to go.”
Rogers, a suspected serial killer once investigated for a potential connection to the O.J. Simpson case in the 1990s, was also sentenced to death in California for the 1995 strangulation of Sandra Gallagher, a mother of three. Both murders occurred weeks apart, with Rogers later captured in Kentucky while driving Cribbs’ car after a highway chase. Authorities confirmed his time of death as 6:16 p.m. at Florida State Prison near Starke.
In his last words, Rogers thanked his wife, who visited him earlier that day, and cryptically stated, “in the near future, your questions will be answered.” While linked to multiple unsolved killings nationwide and once claiming to have killed 70 people—a statement he later retracted—Rogers was only convicted in the Cribbs and Gallagher cases. His life and crimes were explored in documentaries, including a 2012 film featuring his brother and a criminal profiler.
