TDS Women's Player of the Year Trends

With the women’s college soccer season beginning this week, numerical trends regarding past TDS Player of the Year award winners are highlighted.

0 - No freshman has ever received the award.

0 - No goalkeeper has ever won the award.

1 - Morgan Brian (2013, 2014 winner) secured World Cup medals with the USWNT in 2015 and 2019.

1 - Korbin Albert (2022 winner) earned an Olympic Gold Medal with the USWNT in 2024.

1 - Only one defender, Kadeisha Buchanan (2016), claimed the award after leading West Virginia to the College Cup final.

2 - Two sophomores won: Korbin Albert (Notre Dame, 2022) and Catarina Macario (Stanford, 2018).

2 - Two players won twice: Morgan Brian (Virginia, 2013-2014) and Catarina Macario (Stanford, 2018-2019).
