Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham underwent shoulder surgery in July following the FIFA Club World Cup to address discomfort he had experienced for over a year. The club's medical staff estimates his recovery will take three to four months, meaning his return is not expected before late October or early November.
Despite the projected lengthy absence, positive news emerged as Bellingham was photographed jogging separately on the training pitch just 30 days after his operation, marking a significant step in his recovery. However, Real Madrid intends to be cautious and not rush his return to ensure he comes back fully fit and pain-free.
Bellingham's absence is a significant setback for manager Xabi Alonso, who must now build his strongest starting eleven without the England international. Alonso does have alternative options for Bellingham's position, including Brahim Diaz, Arda Guler, and new signing Franco Mastantuono.
The expected three-month minimum absence means Bellingham is set to miss crucial early-season matches for Real Madrid, including what are described as the two toughest fixtures in the first half of the campaign.
